There were only two people in my HVAC class.

I thought my HVAC class would be filled, so I showed up early to get a good seat.

I liked sitting in the front of the classroom because I could hear better.

No one talked over the instructor or teacher, when they were sitting in the front of the room. I had ADD and it was difficult trying to keep focus when in a classroom. When I heard others talking around me, I would try to listen to them and forget about the teacher. I knew this was one of my problems, so I always took a seat up front. I didn’t have this problem in my HVAC class. I got there early, only to realized there was only one other person in the class. I never considered the fact that I was recertifying, and there may not be many other students, but I was sure there would be more than two of us. When the HVAC instructor came into the classroom, he looked as stunned as I was. He handed out the books and asked if we were both current HVAC technicians. I had been an HVAC tech for ten years, and the other man had been an HVAC tech for fifteen years. We were just here for a refresher course to learn about the new HVAC equipment that was coming out. He sat down on his desk and started talking. Within an hour, we covered a week’s worth of work, and he asked if we had questions. The rest of the week was spent going to his HVAC company and checking out the newest HVAC equipment, which he was already beginning to install in people’s homes.
