The dry desert air is causing problems in the house

The weather has been particularly dry for this time of the year.

We rarely get a lot of rain or so in this part of the country, but we usually receive a little bit of precipitation.

The dry desert air has been causing a lot of problems in the house. There is dust and debris and sand all over the place. I have been changing the air filter every 2 weeks to make up for the desert air. A couple of days ago, we had severely high winds. We had steady winds at 40 miles an hour with gusts up to 65 miles an hour. A lot of palm trees fell in the neighborhood where we live and we were lucky that our home and our garage was spared. After the Storm was over, my wife and I noticed an inch of dust all over the surfaces in our home. We had changed the air filter a few days previously and there was still an inch of dust on all of the surfaces. We cleaned the house from top to bottom and it took hours to get rid of all the dust. We decided to go to the hardware store to buy an air purifier for the house. My wife and I found a great deal on an air purifier so we decided to buy two. We put one of their air purifiers in the family room and we put the other air purifier and the master bedroom. Hopefully the air purifiers will help keep some of the dusty desert wind out of our home.
