In my short 22 years of life, I’ve l received that I can plan and plan, however there will still be things that pop up that I didn’t prepare for! As a control freak, I almost never did things like this. Anything that wasn’t part of my plan would make me hyperventilate and send me in a downward spiral, but now, I’ve been figuring out how to take things as they come and let the things I can’t control go, then my brand new mentality didn’t come easy, and I spent years training myself to let go. My family is very surprised at how far I’ve come! Last weekend, I was in charge of hosting Thanksgiving supper at my house. Despite the fact that I spent weeks preparing everything, there were still hiccups on the big day. fifteen minutes before my family was supposed to arrive, my oil furnace stopped working how it should, but i stumbled all around on the temperature control, however nothing brought my oil furnace back to life. I lit the fireplace in hopes of warming up the kitchen, however the rest of the home grew cold. The previous me would’ve had a complete panic attack, however the current me stayed cool and calm. I called the local Heating and Air Conditioning emergency service and they had a Heating and Air Conditioning professional at my home within ten minutes. The Heating and Air Conditioning professional was only in my home for 35 minutes before he discovered the problem I was having. My oil furnace filter was clogged, causing the whole thing to shut down. My heat exchanger was boiling from all the dirt and dust. Luckily for me, he had my oil furnace up and running before my family showed up for supper!
