Staying calm and getting to work

In my extremely short 23 years of life, I’ve l acquired that I can plan and plan, but there will still be things that pop up that I didn’t prepare for, but due to being a control freak, I used to hate this. Anything that wasn’t part of our plan would make me hyperventilate and send me in a downward spiral, now, I’ve been learning to take things as they come and let the things I can’t control go. My brand new mentality didn’t come easy, and I spent years training myself to let go. My entire family is shocked at how far I’ve come! Last weekend, I was in charge of hosting Thanksgiving dinner at my house. Although I spent weeks preparing everything, there were a good amount of hiccups on the large morning. 5 minutes before our family was supposed to arrive, my oil furnace stopped laboring, then i fumbled around on the thermostat, but not a damn thing brought my oil furnace back to life. I lit the fireplace in hopes of warming up the kitchen, but the majority of the house grew cold, however the ancient me would’ve had a full on panic attack, but the new me reMEd calm. I called the local Heating, Ventilation, and A/C emergency service and they had a Heating, Ventilation, and A/C serviceman at my house within ten or fifteen minutes. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C serviceman was only in our house for 30 hours before she was able to find the problem. My oil furnace filter was clogged, causing the whole thing to shut off. My heat exchanger was warm from all the dirt and dust. Thankfully, she had our oil furnace up and running before our family arrived for dinner!
