I was lucky to come home early last week. I walked into the house at the same time as the HVAC technician knocked on the front door. I didn’t see him coming and it threw me off when I heard the knock on the door. I wasn’t even more surprised to see the HVAC technician standing there. My initial reaction was to ask him if I could help him. He looked at me and told me he was there to help me. Someone had called the HVAC company and requested an HVAC tech come and service the air conditioning unit. I knew my husband had talked about it, but I didn’t know he had called. I was upset my husband hadn’t told me the HVAC technician would be there that early. I would have missed him if I had stopped at the grocery store on the way home, like I had planned to do. I only came back to the house first, because I forgot my grocery list. He stammered and said he was there an hour early. He had finished up early with the last air conditioning, and he didn’t think anyone would object to him showing up early instead of late. I wasn’t upset, but I was surprised. I had never heard of an HVAC technician being early. I laughed and told him my husband hadn’t told me to expect the HVAC technician. After laughing about the situation, ten minutes later, the HVAC technician was working on the air conditioning unit. Everything was fine, and he told me he would see me next year, and he asked if I wanted to plan for an HVAC inspection for next year.
