It’s so incredibly interesting to be part of a town community; however, this is all current to myself and others as I’ve never lived in a town before… And I have to say that it’s everything I had hoped it would be, and I grew up inside a big apartment building in one of the largest cities in the country! Even after numerous years inside a dorm room with radiant heating, I still had to go back to the city, and my first job straight out of the tranquility of that university neighborhood was right back into another major city; however, so that meant living in an apartment building again with radiant heating plus almost no air conditioning system.
- I could actually deal with that sort of HVAC situation plus the close quarters, but living in those big apartment buildings you tend to not get entirely close to your neighbors.
Beyond maybe a brief wave or some eye contact, there wasn’t much rapport with our neighbors when I lived in the city. So when I took a current position that was headquartered in a rural town, I was happy to be a homeowner plus a neighbor; but recently though, I had to help a neighbor with an HVAC problem… However, he called myself and others a single evening well after lunch to see if I could come over plus help him with his heat pump. Being a current homeowner, I had just had current residential HVAC installed. So I knew quite well that only HVAC professionals should be toiling on HVAC equipment. As much as I wanted to try to help our neighbor, I also thought the real help would be giving him the HVAC truth.
