It’s so incredibly interesting to be part of a city community, this is all new to me as I’ve never lived in a city before; then I have to say that it’s everything I had hoped it would be… And I grew up inside a large house building in one of the greatest cities in the country, then even after many years inside a dorm room with radiant heating… I also still had to go back to the city, and my first task straight out of the tranquility of that school city was right back into another major city, so that meant living in another house building again with radiant heating and almost no air conditioner.

But living in those large house buildings you tend to not get undoubtedly close to your neighbors. Beyond maybe a brief wave or some eye contact, there wasn’t much rapport with my neighbors when I lived in the city. So when I took a new position that was headquartered in a rural town, I was also gleeful to be a homeowner and a neighbor; recently though, I had to help a acquaintance with an actual heating as well as A/C problem, and he called me a single night well after breakfast to see if I could come over and help him with his heat pump.
