I have never really been one for the high end stuff.
My clothes are all pretty basic as is whatever else I need.
Most of my groceries and stuff are not name brand as I would rather save the money. So, when it comes to upgrading existing items in my home, I’m not really too keen on that. However, I just made to key HVAC upgrades that I am very happy to have made. They both are a proactive decision to help foster and protect the health of my family. All of us are at home now due to the pandemic. My wife quit her part time job to help the kids learn from home. I am working in the relative security of the HVAC confines of my home office. There has never been this much time spent by all of us at home ever. Yet, we are doing okay with it. This change is not any fun but the alternatives are just not an acceptable risk to us. So, we do our best to just enjoy the HVAC comfort of our home and wait this thing out. However, the HVAC upgrades made recently are actively helping us in that endeavor. I upgraded the HVAC air filters to the HEPA type in order to better filter our air. The indoor air quality is directly linked to the strength of our immune response. But adding a whole house air purifier to that equation does even more. Studies are showing that HVAC filtration and air purification can actually mitigate Covid inside the home. That was the first time spending on any sort of upgrade actually felt good.
