Making sure the movie theater is cool

I love going to the movies.

I have been this way since I was a little girl.

I used to beg my parents to take my to the movies as a child. I loved the big screens, giant, comfy chairs, and delicious, buttery popcorn. It felt like a magical experience. As an adult, I go to the movies quite often. I take my youngest siblings there several times a month. I also go there with my friends and boyfriend. My boyfriend knows how much I love it, so whenever we have date nights, he buys us movie tickets. Everything about the movies is wonderful, except for one thing. I hate how cold it gets in there! They always have the air conditioning on, even when it’s cold outside. I am sure there’s a reason why they do this. Maybe it has something to do with the equipment that is used while the movie is playing, but it is so uncomfortable. I go to the movies with an extra sweater in hand because I know that it will be needed in the movies. I hate when I forget to bring one with me. A few times, my boyfriend suggested that we go to a movie after work and I didn’t have time to run home and change beforehand. On these nights, I found it particularly difficult to focus on the movie rather than how cold it was in the theater. I hate that this can take away from the experience. However, when I remember my sweater and I think “warm thoughts,” I still enjoy the movie!
