Mailman is advertising for HVAC company, heard my AC

Later that day, I watched the mailman pull up to my mailbox and put several letters inside

For the past few weeks I have been really annoyed every time I went out to get the mail. I have been completely blown away by the blitzkrieg of marketing materials that seems to flow to my mailbox every few days. It seems like every trip to claim my assorted junk mail and bills has been plagued with an armful of business cards, flyers, and coupon sheets. For a long while, I had no idea where all of these heating and cooling advertisements were originating from. It was mind-boggling that a single air quality control repair shop could afford to produce such a wide variety of advertising mailers, or to distribute them so prolifically. I genuinely thought that this HVAC company was driving themselves out of business by overspending on their marketing budget. The HVAC shop seemed to be facing imminent doom, and they were really annoying all of their potential customers, in the meantime. The other day, I figured out where these heating and cooling harassments were actually coming from when I mentioned my frustration with the HVAC advertisements to my neighbor. He responded to my complaints with complete surprise – they hadn’t received a single HVAC flier. He also mentioned that his AC unit was brand new and ran totally silently. When I considered my own cooling system, I realized that it made a lot of noise. Perhaps somebody was targeting me with these HVAC coupons because of my poorly maintained air conditioner. Later that day, I watched the mailman pull up to my mailbox and put several letters inside. Then, he reached back into the mail truck and stuck a handful of colorful fliers in there. When I ran out and asked him why he was shoving HVAC advertisements in my mailbox, he revealed that his brother was the heating and cooling shop owner.
