There is just something about growing up as part of a large family that almost everyone just won’t understand… Back in the day, when I was a little kid, my siblings and I had to share everything! If you can name it, my brothers and sisters and I had to share it. All the way from clothes, to video games, to backpacks–whenever I see my friends kids walking around with their absolutely own iPhone or gameboy, I become a bit jealous that I couldn’t do that when I was a kid. Growing up in my parents’ house, the worst aspect of sharing was during the summer. We all lived in a pretty broken down farm house in the middle of the country, so cool air was difficult to come by. All my siblings and I had to keep us comfortable was this super small a/c that was only strong enough to cool about half of the living room. Due to the fact that there were seven of us, it didn’t work absolutely well. Then to substitute the lack of a/c, my brothers and sisters and I would do crazy things. Sometimes, I would spray water through the laying fans, however that often got to messy. We asked our parents if they would call over a nearby HVAC repair man to come as well as end our misery. However, they said that the lack of a/c would toughen us up when us boys and girls became adult. Well today I am in my thirties, and I can tell you that was not true! If anything, it made me into more of a baby whenever I am anywhere without a really good A/C system!
