After only a few weeks residing up in the northwest, I see now why people are envious of the people who live in the south their whole lives. However I also see why so numerous people travel down to the south while the people I was with and I were in the winter. It’s frozen up here! A few weeks ago, I was sent here on a work trip–it has been a taxing time to say the particularly least. It’s always super cold, people seem to be in a bad mood (most likely because it’s so damn cold), plus it seems the neighborhood I live in is always under a blizzard warning! We are surrounded by feet of snow, and breaking the ice off my sedan and driveway is just terrible. The people of the northwest do have one thing that I have started to enjoy up here though, which is radiant heated flooring. I get why it’s not popular at all down in the southern part of the country, however the radiant heater is the only reason I have been able to stick around up here. The moment I get back to my condo from work, I can sit down on the floor with my dog plus snuggle up while enjoying a movie. It’s also super eco friendly plus cheap to have! Heated floors have no ductwork, so they’re low maintenance too; you don’t even have to buy furnace filters. As long as I’m still residing somewhere with some usual quality heated floors plus some fun things to do doing on the weekend, I think I can stick it out up here.
