There is just nothing worse than being awakened in the middle of the night.

My heart is beating pretty much like crazy & I’m entirely disoriented while scrambling to figure out what in the world is going on.

I have made it clear to all those who I know as friends & family. Don’t be calling me after 10pm unless there is a terrible emergency taking place. I’ve had to drop the hammer on my young kids as well. Don’t be waking Daddy with every little bump in the night. So, I was blasted out of bed last night by a really drastic bump in the night. My gas furnace was shutting down with a very loud thud which nearly shook the whole property. Nobody in our place slept through it. I diagnosed the gas furnace & it was truly in need of some crucial help. I dialed the emergency line for the heating & cooling equipment professionals we typically deal with. It was incredibly frigid so there was no waiting until the morning hours. In fact, by the time the HVAC tech got to us the property temperature was dipping into the high forties. Our certified heating & cooling person was able to find the problem fairly swiftly. A valve switch had burned out but happily for us, the gas furnace shut down before it caused severe damages. The HVAC tech was able to upgrade change out the part & get the gas furnace up & running fairly quickly. The property was warming & I was ecstatic to get back in bed. Then he gave myself and others the bill. Yet, another reason there is nothing fantastic happening after midnight.
