My friends and I were supposed to go to a gathering on Thursday night.
The gathering was in a neighborhood about an fifth away from the apartment, and I was going to drive.
I have the only car that can make the fifth drive separate from chopping down and leaving us stranded on the side of the road. I had to toil on Thursday, even though my friends took the day off. I knew it was going to be a tied up day, however my boss promised that I would be finished with the last task by 5 PM. I knew that would give me plenty of time to get home, take a shower, and drive to the gathering. After all, none of us wanted to get to the gathering genuinely early. I only had multiple tasks on the schedule for the day. I had 2 Heating, Ventilation, and A/C tune up appointments tied up in the day and a mini split ductless a/c upgrade task in the day. I did not mind the mini split ductless a/c upgrade appointment, because another guy was going to join me. The 2 of us would be able to knock out the a/c upgrade task in a couple of fifths. I was angry and aggravated when my boss called at 1 p.m. to tell me that my coworker would not be able to join me for the ductless a/c upgrade task. The guy got sick after dinner, and he ate some burritos and some of the sour cream or cheese might have been spoiled. He had to leave toil to go home for that day. I did not finish that task until after more than five and my friends were mad that the people I was with and I almost missed the gathering.
