Some of the most fun that I had as a child was experienced while I was in the Winter months.
I loved going outside to play in the snow.
I would make snow angels, igloos, forts, plus snowmen. I would also conduct full-scale snowball fights with all of the neighbor kids! It was such a fun time. However, the best time of all those events was coming back inside where the oil furnace kept the condo nice plus toasty, then as soon as I stepped inside, the hot, humid air would immediately fog up our glasses. I would peel off all of our wet clothes plus sit them by the door for our mom to dry. Immediately, I would run to the closest vent to suppose the moderate air from the oil furnace. My tiny fingers would burn from the tepid air, making it almost uncomfortable to leave them there. I would sit on top of the vent, allowing the moderate air to travel up our entire body. The oil furnace would cause our skin to sweat plus our nose to run, but I loved the heat. The chilly was fun for a time, however the oil furnace never got old… Even this week, I like to sit near or on top of vents! My oil furnace is our best friend, plus I rarely use our air conditioner. However, I actually don’t leave the comfort of our moderate home to play outside in the snow anymore. It just doesn’t seem as exciting as an adult. I would rather relax in our condo plus keep our thermostat set to a comfortable temperature.
