The grip of winter is still holding strong even though we are well into spring. I had to get my heater tuned up because my flat just doesn’t seem to warm up although the smart thermostat is set to 74F. I measured the temperature in my flat and it looks like it isn’t getting over 70F so I think I need to get an HVAC repairman out here to take a look at it. I don’t know much about this kind of stuff so I think it’s best to get a pro to handle it for me or I may make the problem worse and end up spending more money than originally planned. I think the local contractor has an idea of what the problem is and is going to bring a new heat pump with him when he comes. I guess mine is old and not working like it should so I guess we will be replacing it. He told me that the geothermal heat pump he is bringing out will be much more efficient and reliable than the electric one I have in there now. I think I can finance it with my Paypal credit line so I won’t have to actually pay for it for another six months to avoid the crazy interest charges they can hammer you with. Maybe if he just does a tune up on the central heat that would solve the problem but it is likely I am going to need a new heat pump, but we will know the answer very shortly.
