Updating my bathroom has been messy

I will need to put up new drywall and mud the seams

I have been updating my bathroom and it is a slow process, I have been waiting for new fixtures and parts to ship, however, my local hardware store runs out of a lot of the materials I need. I also don’t like working in the bathroom everyday. The gutting portion was just horrible. Taking down drywall, tile and plumbing fixtures was messy. The amount of dust was disgusting. I tried to shelter my bedroom from the dust cloud but didn’t have any success. I had to rush through the gutting portion since I didn’t want to clean and then have my room get dusty again, and once everything was all out and new and things were just being put in, I allowed myself to clean. I had to scrub my carpets, sheets, curtains and all my clothing. I also needed to clean the walls, ceiling fan and the HVAC vents. Thank goodness I went up high and noticed how gross it was inside my ductwork. It occurred to me that my HVAC unit had been running the whole time during the gutting process. I quickly turned off my furnace and A/C so that the dust in the vents would not be spread from room to room. I right away got my vents cleaned and completed so that I knew my house would stay fresh. This seems a bit premature now that I think about it. I will need to put up new drywall and mud the seams. There will be some sanding dust. I am hopeful I can keep it out of my HVAC and if I put towels under the door, out of my room.
