When you change your cooling system filters all of the time, that is only more cash that is being spent because then you will have to buy new ones pretty soon.
So I did not change our filters that often, but often enough to make sure my cooling unit didn’t overheat, but not often enough where I felt it was a waste of cash.
I also got the okay cooling system filter brands, rather than HEPA filters, since I thought they should do just fine. Anyways, I ended up changing my mind when I took out the old dirty air filter. Usually the air filters are pretty gross, as expected, but this time the heating plus A/C filter was absolutely disgusting! As I was taking it out, literally balls of hair, lint and who knows what fell out! It was also slightly damp which only added to the disgust factor. I looked and I couldn’t even see through the filter it was covered in so much stuff. I decided after that that I will go ahead and start changing the air filters out a bit sooner. Not only is that terrible for the cooling system unit, but it’s just gross to have in the house and going through the air. Maybe eventually I will even upgrade to the HEPA filters, despite the fact that I am trying not to spend too much cash on filters or the HVAC unit. That air filter was the last of the stock I had, so I had to visit the nearby HVAC store and buy a new stock. I went ahead as well as bought one HEPA air filter to deliver it a go and see how it does, maybe it is worth the cash.
