They don't carry the air filters I like anymore

My neighborhood heating and air conditioning company told me the most heartbreaking news today.

My preferred washable air filters will no longer be available at my favorite HVAC store, where I’ve been shopping for the past ten years. The reason why my favorite washable air filters won’t be available at my neighborhood heating and air conditioning company is because the manufacturer of the air filters has decided to stop producing them, making it impossible for my neighborhood heating and air conditioning company to stock them. The manufacturer of these washable air filters has chosen to use a different style of washable air filter. I became aware of the theory when my neighborhood heating and air conditioning company started selling a new washable air filter a few weeks ago. According to reports, the company that manufactures all of these air filters plans to concentrate on producing this one particular type of air filter and discontinue some of their older models, which regrettably includes the one I’ve been purchasing. This bothers me because I used the earlier model and compared it to the more recent model, and I believe the earlier model to be the superior one. Since the newer model is also more expensive, I’ll either have to switch to a different brand or be compelled to use the newer model, which I don’t want. I don’t like the situation, so before they disappear from stores, I’m going to try to stock up on as many of the old washable air filters as I can. I know down the line I’ll have to upgrade to the newer model.
