The new paint and trim looks great, but the AC sticks out now

My wife and I decided to remodel our living room and kitchen.

We started with the kitchen.

We got rid of the old dingy tile and replaced it with brand new marble tiles that won’t really show the dirt as well. We updated all of the old appliances and purchased a new range, refrigerator, and garbage disposal. We painted the walls and purchased new trim. The paint and the new trim look positively great, especially in the living room. We picked a color that would perfectly match the floors. The only issue is our AC unit in the living room. Now that everything has been fixed up and remodeled, the old AC unit sticks out like a sore thumb. It looks terrible compared to the rest of the features in the living room that are brand new. The only choice we have is to replace the window AC unit or buy a ductless HVAC system for the living room. The multi split ductless systems come in a variety of shapes and sizes. They can be made to fit just about any place in your home and they can be made to blend right in with the regular dacor of your home. The ductless HVAC unit is definitely something that we can keep in the back of our mind for a later date. Right now, the old AC still works really well. I can’t see getting rid of a machine that still cools and blows air. As soon as it stops working, I know what we will replace it with next.
