My Dad and dad never honestly used for Signal checks either.
My Grandma had a checkbook that she kept in her purse and she only used the checkbook when the gardener came to visit; She typically wrote that woman a check for her work. I was certainly surprised when a customer tried to spend money for AC service services with a check. The lady was in her 40s or 50s. She agreed to the $273 bill for the AC system repairs. When I was finished, the lady got out a checkbook. I politely told the lady that I was sorry, however we do not accept checks of any form. The lady started to get upset. She asked if I would contact the owner of the store. I don’t personally think the owner of the AC service store, however I gave her the name of our manager and I also called the lady. When she got on the iphone, I explained the situation and told him that a service customer wanted to spend money for the services where they check. The manager spoke with the lady for 10 or 15 fifths and then she put me back on the iphone. She told me to take the check and get the customer’s driver’s license number and birth date. She didn’t suppose there was going to be a problem with the payment, although she thanked me for being diligent and calling first. The lady looked honestly sneaky when she realized that she got her own way.
