The irony of working for a HVAC business, and driving a HVAC van as a HVAC specialist, and yet not having any kind of air conditioning in said van.
It is really annoying that I work for a heating and cooling company, spend most of my day repairing furnaces and air conditioning machines, and yet I can’t even be given access to said systems myself.
I have complained about the issue multiple times to my boss, and he is really slow to get around to doing anything about it. The only message I am getting is that he doesn’t care. Honestly if it wasn’t for the fact that this is car air conditioning, I would try to fix it myself. I am not very familiar with car’s A/C though, and since this van is the property of my job, I don’t want to risk it. If it was my own car, I honestly might be tempted to at least try, but since it is not I guess I am just stuck in my current predicament. I have been taking a lot of work days off this week in particular, because it is in the 90s, and driving around in a van without air conditioning at that temperature can be dangerous. I wonder if my HVAC van is the only one without A/C, or if they all are lacking air conditioning. I just can’t wait until the HVAC is finally fixed in that van. It feels very wrong to repair other’s A/C and be lacking some myself.
