The hardest part about being a delivery driver

I worked for several years as a delivery driver. I was just your average package delivery driver, and I would spend hours a day going to different communities delivering people’s packages. The job paid surprisingly well, and perhaps that is why I stuck around for so long, because if it didn’t I would have been gone in a heartbeat. While the job itself was fine, I enjoyed driving around and seeing all of the different communities around here. As well as I liked to be able to drive and be on my own. I’m not the biggest person, so it gave me a lot of alone time. However, the job had one major drawback. Anyone who has ever worked for package delivery will probably complain about the air conditioning, and I am one of them. The A/C is non-existent in this career field. I am not sure why there is no HVAC in these vans, but there isn’t, and all really hot days, it can be brutal to not have central A/C. There were many times I almost drove myself home because I couldn’t stand constantly getting out and into the sun and heat. I got pretty badly sunburned multiple times as well. Winter wasn’t much better, without a heater I also became pretty cold, but at least I had a jacket to wear. Anyways, those years are behind me, and now I get as much heating and air conditioning as I want. After several years as a delivery driver, I just wanted to work your average office job.
