We live in a country type area.
- It gets to be pretty cold here in the winter time months, and things can get pretty hectic.
For our heating, we do not have central heating in any way, shape or form. We have a nice big fireplace! I actually love using my fireplace with my family. It actually keeps me in shape! The reason for that is because it is not one of those fake electric or gas fireplaces. It is an original real fireplace! I have to go out into the wilderness, find wood and chop it. Sometimes chopping the wood for the fireplace takes many hours as we need a lot of it in our winter time months. We also use the real fireplace for fun stuff, like roasting marshmallows. You can’t do that with an electric or gas fireplace. If you were to even try doing something like that with an electric or gas fireplace, you could end up poisoning yourself! We actually have central heating available up here in the form of getting a boiler or furnace. However, it is much less of a headache using our very real fireplace. This way, we do not have to pay extra on any kind of electric bills. Fireplaces are great energy savers all together. With as cold as it is up here, without our fireplace, we would be spending hundreds of dollars a month more on our energy bills for sure! I really am in love with the fireplace set up we have. Not to mention, I love it here.
