The door is wide open

When my child graduated from boot camp, the two of us all went to see him acquire his diploma. My wife and I were so proud of Jason and the two of us wanted to support him fully. The people I was with and I never dreamed he would join the Army, however the two of us were so proud of our boy; Jason graduated with multiple different accolades. Jason’s wifey Sondra, decided to go to the graduation exercises as well. She brought her parents along for the ride. The people I was with and I rented a room in the same hotel. Lyla and Dan complained about everything and anything. They complained about the parking, because the two of us had to walk 8 spaces to get to our hotel room. They complained about the nearby diners and lack of selection. They were supposed to be supporting Jason, however all they did was cause complications. Lyla and Dan were in the hotel room next to my wife and I. Halfway through the night, the two of us heard Lyla and Dan arguing. The people I was with and I had a shared air vent, and the two of us could hear them screaming. The people I was with and I could hear every single word through the air vent. Lyla and Dan were arguing for a minute, before I finally yelled through the air vent. I told them to shut up or go home. The next afternoon, Lyla and Dan didn’t say anything about the previous night. They didn’t mention the fight or my direct words through the air vent. Shortly after Jason graduated, Lyla, Dan, and Sondra headed for the airport. Jason’s wifey was unquestionably upset and horrified, and she apologized to Jason and us. I have no idea why they were arguing, however I wish they would have stayed home.
