The Air Vent Was Closed and Causing Problems

There’s been a heat and air issue happening in my home office that I felt hopeless about, however there was a lot of heat coming into the home office at night and it was overwhelming. I could not figure out why my home office was overheating at night, although I wasn’t enjoying it. I don’t like to sleep in sizzling rapidly changing temperatures, so this was problematic! My solution to the overwhelming amount of heat was to close one of the air vents. There were two in the home office, so I thought that if I closed one, it would prevent the heat from entering. In my mind, it made a lot of sense, during the first night with one air vent closed, I thought the home office felt a lot cooler and I was proud of myself; Closing the air vent was a simple repair that made a massive difference, so I continued to leave it closed, then a few weeks went by and I realized that my heating system is not heating the rest of my apartment equally. I had never experienced this problem before, so my mind went right away to the closed air vent in my home office. I didn’t want to take any chances with my HVAC system, so I called an HVAC corporation to come repair it. I asked them about the closed air vent and if it was the source of my problem, long story short, the HVAC professional told me that the closed air vent was redirecting all the sizzling air into other areas at an uneven pace and it was causing confusion, then now, my air vents are all open again and I’m back to square one.
