The other day I had to take my kid to the doctor for her regular checkup! It just so happened to be one of the hottest afternoons of the year, & the temperature was in the high eighties even before our 10 o’clock appointment yesterday morning, then we went on to have the air conditioning blasting in the car all the way to the doctor’s office, then so when every one of us got off the elevator & went inside the office I was shocked to know how warm it was in the doctor’s office.
It didn’t suppose appreciate they were even using the air conditioning in the office at all.
I asked the receptionist what was going on with the indoor air quality in the waiting room, and then she told me that they had been having lots of trouble with their air conditioning unit all week long, and the Heating, Ventilation & A/C corporation was supposed to be coming to service the air conditioner after lunch, but the doctor’s office was so hot and humid while every one of us were there that I thought I was going to get sick. I felt awful for the doctors & receptionists that were working there, though. There are no windows at all, & so they weren’t even getting a breeze inside the office building. I wasn’t able to imagine having to stay in that hot, stuffy office building all morning separate from any air conditioner when the outside temperatures were so hot. I was ecstatic that my son’s appointment was fairly early in the morning & every one of us didn’t have to stay in that area inside of the office honestly long separate from the air conditioning. I was honestly ecstatic to get out of there & get back in the car so every one of us could turn the cooling unit in the car on full blast.
