The a/c system overflowed

Marty and I had just moved to a new house across the states from where the two of us are from & where we now live. Marty and I didn’t know a whole lot about central air devices because where the two of us are from, houses did not come with them. One night the two of us were doing our clothes & all of a sudden our floors were wet like, & the bottom half of the wall was wet too. Well of course Marty and I thought the washing equipment had overflowed, however the washing equipment itself wasn’t the least bit moist. Now, since the two of us were so unsure on what the issue could have been, Marty and I called our serviceman for our complex & the HVAC guy came over immediately – it turns out, our air conditioner unit was set up right above our washing device in the attic & our safety switch died & the drip pan got too wet! What kind of luck is that? The serviceman had to install a new safety switch in hopes that it would never overflow again due to it made such a mess, and had Marty and I been in our own home & that happened, the two of us would have never known it could have been the air cooling unit because the two of us didn’t even feel about that being a possible issue since the two of us weren’t used to having those in the place where the two of us are from. Thank goodness our serviceman knew where the air conditioner unit was located too due to that was a real lifesaver for us.
