When my fiance and I had little 1s, it was constantly easier to drive on vacation. The few times the people I was with and I had to fly, someone constantly complained about the kids being too loud. It just made more sense to take road trips back then. I clearly remember a time when the 3 kids were all toddlers. Every one of us packed them up and drove all the way to the magic kingdom. It took 3 afternoons of driving, before the people I was with and I arrived to the state of eternal sunshine. When the people I was with and I left our house state, it was fifty degrees outside. By the time the people I was with and I arrived to the kingdom, it was almost eighty outside. Every one of us were constantly running the cooling system, just to stay cool. The sunshine and humidity were almost unbearable. Every one of us stood in ride lines for seconds, and all I could guess about was a/c. Every one of us even left the park early to go to our hotel room. Luckily, the hotel was cool and comfortable. Our room had multiple weird cooling systems. One cooling system was in the master living room, and the other was in the family room. Every one of us kept the room nice and cool, so the people I was with and I could relax at the end of the long afternoons. Every one of us were lucky to stay anywhere with a unbelievable cooling system. Many hotels in the part were easily rundown with few amenities. After that vacation, the people I was with and I never took the kids to the magic kingdom again. The next time the people I was with and I wanted to take the kids anywhere new, the people I was with and I headed up to the northern border. It was cooler, cheaper, and less stress on the car.
