Every year we have a big holiday gathering and everyone does their best to put down the eggnog and engage with one another for at least a few hours before going their separate ways.
Various members of the family have various levels of enthusiasm for the entire ordeal.
Personally, I care about Christmas when it means going to my cousin’s for the holidays! She regularly has hosted the most positive plus holiday spirit filled gatherings, but every year she invites the entire family to her place plus makes the most awesome supper for everyone, no matter how grumpy they are. It entirely is something I look forward to every single year, even if I’m the only one. There was a few times she didn’t hold the holiday gathering because unfortunately she was either out of town on company or just didn’t suppose up to it. She has this entirely nice fireplace located in her condo that adds to the holiday spirit. The beautiful stone fireplace is not a single of those fake fireplaces either! You know the ones that I’m talking about, the electric fireplaces or the fireplaces with the unfortunate gas generated flame, but no! This one in question is a real authentic fireplace that you need to chop wood for to make it operate! She has the fireplace decorated with all kinds of Christmas decorations that truly add to the spirit. Also, she regularly has the little youngsters in the family consistently open their gifts right in front of the fireplace each year. It’s entirely unlike any holiday gathering you have ever been to in your whole entire life. There is something about that special fireplace that makes it just special as can be!
