My husband, Dave, and I have lived in our house for over twenty years now.
We truly love our house and the neighborhood that we live in.
We raised both of our children here, and this house is full of warm memories. I do not think that we will ever move out of this house. It is two stories, and I think that one day we will not be able to climb the stairs to the second story, but thankfully, our bedroom is on the first floor. The upstairs is really only used when our children and grandchildren come to visit. Our house is relatively old though, so we have had trouble keeping it warm enough during the winter months. It did not used to bother us when we were younger. We kept the house at about sixty to sixty-five degrees. It was fine for us back then, but now, we get a little too chilly when the house is that cool. We prefer it to be at least seventy degrees. We could not figure out how to get it warmer until we bought our propane fireplace. We wanted an electric fireplace, but we found this propane one for only thirty dollars. It was quite awesome. We have been using it for about two weeks now, and it has made such a difference in the temperature of our home. We can get the living room and kitchen area up to about eighty degrees using our propane fireplace, and we absolutely love it! We are planning on getting a fireplace for our bedroom sometime soon as well. It will be so nice to have the entire first floor around eighty degrees.
