When I first passed my HVAC certification test, I was so happy.
When I started at my new HVAC company, I felt like I was finally making my way in life.
Well, my trainer was a really great guy, but he totally pushed me to the limit. He kept saying how I had massive potential and I should try my best to become a skilled HVAC professional. Well, that’s why I was there so I listened to everything he had to say and I tried my best to keep up with this guy. Before I knew it, he was trying to teach me about working on commercial HVAC systems. This had me kind of frightened because this was territory I was totally unfamiliar with. He said it was really nothing and once I learned how to work on these more advanced HVAC systems, I would gain the skills that other people could only dream of having. He said experience was key and with him, I would be successful as an HVAC specialist. I carried on working with him and he was right, I started to learn about all kinds of different HVAC repairs, maintenance and installation work. Of course, the commercial HVAC systems were where the money was really at and I think that’s why he pushed for me to learn about working on those. These days, I’m so grateful for that man’s help through the years. He recently retired and I had to tell him how I was going to miss working with him, but I wanted to make sure we kept in touch and still hung out at parties and events. I believe it’s because of him that I am as successful as I am today, but he says it’s all me!
