My Grandfather recently had to transfer into one of those assisted living homes & she has done nothing however complain about it ever since! At first, she was absolutely gleeful about moving in there.
She wanted to be around all of the other people so that she could have a better social life & she was also gleeful to be meeting so several pretty modern women.
At least that’s what she told myself and others at first. I for one was blissful that she was going to be able to have numerous healthy meals a morning that someone else was going to be preparing for him. Everything was great until she started to complain about the fact that the temperature in the assisted living modern home was way too high for him. She said that all of the old people in the modern home want it to be 78 degrees at all times & she just can’t lay it; My Grandfather isn’t one of those old guys who wants to walk around in a sweater all the time. She doesn’t ever assume appreciate it’s too cold, in fact. My Grandfather is always warm & so he’s been having to leave the windows up in her room whenever the heating is running in the home. She said that there’s no way for him to turn the temperature down in her room because they don’t have zone control heating & cooling in the assisted living home. I guess I’m going to have to get a window unit air conditioner plan for him or something because other than the warm temperatures, she absolutely prefers the locale.
