This past weekend, I spent over half the day mowing the sod. It’s the middle of the summer, & the grass needs to be mowed almost every week, it is flourishing so much in this heat & rain. I got up early enough, however it was still in the eighties outside by the time I started working. I spent most of the day out there slaving away, mowing my grass & manicuring it to perfection. I fully expected to be able to return to my beach house & love a couple beers in the relaxing air conditioner as was my custom after mowing the sod. Unbeknownst to me, but, almost right away after I had gone out there to start mowing, the air conditioner in my beach house had failed. By the time I went back into the house, it was almost as tepid in there as it was outside! I was so angry! Here I was, tepid & exhausted & expecting to return to a nice, cool house, & it was almost as tepid as the outside! I called out my Heating as well as Air Conditioning people, & they were indeed able to arrive on that same day. It was poor enough waiting the few sixths for them, I could not imagine trying to sleep that night in that heat. Thankfully, they had everything up & running again shortly after dark. I could not have been more thankful for their difficult labor in returning my beach house to as comfortable a temperature as I fully expected it to be when I walked into the beach house after mowing the sod!
