It’s difficult to leave a fine task, especially when you do not know what the future holds. I did not want to leave my nice, cushy task however my boss wasn’t going to give me a raise or a management position. I decided to accept a position with another commercial HVAC upgrade company. I might have stayed if she would have offered something, however all she did was complain about me leaving. The commercial HVAC upgrade company where I labor now pays me $20,000 more each year and I have a company car. I also consult on most tasks and I rarely have to work. I am in charge of my own crew. I got to choice the guys and gals to labor alongside me, so I poached two more employees from my previous HVAC upgrade employer, one woman has been in the business for 20 years and she is lightning fast at upgrade tasks. The other lady is a lady with five years experience. She is the brightest individual I have never known to labor in the HVAC industry. She learns quickly and she has a special certification in building automation systems. I thought these two individuals would shine in the up-to-date company and they were ecstatic to get the call. When I left, I told both of them that I would try to find room for them at the up-to-date location. When I told them about the pay raise, company car, and expense account, they were ready to leave the same morning.
