Sometimes I think that my entire family is so mentally ill that it’s a miracle we are all still on this planet. This is coming from someone who suffers from a lot of depression, anxiety, and obsession herself. I have very disorganized thoughts and I also can be crippled by my own mental illness at times. That being said, I am happy to report that I have been in therapy for years and it has been paying off. Unfortunately, most of my family cannot say the same thing. This is why I find myself sitting at my mom’s house, waiting for the central heating, cooling, and air quality control technician to arrive at the front door. I can tell you, I never arrange my own professional heating and cooling inspections at my house. I am very financially strapped and I do not splurge on my indoor air handling devices. However, my mom has been complaining about her fluctuating indoor air temperature and undesirable air quality for a long time now. It seems like her hot and cold patches, contaminated indoor air, and energy bills were becoming massive problems in her life. All of the unpredictable air conditions and utility expenses were actually drumming up her anxiety and depression. At the same time, she was too anxious to actually call the local heating, cooling, and air quality control dealership to remedy the issue. Eventually, I realized that she needed some help to accomplish this air quality problem. I called the local heating and cooling repair shop myself and agreed to let the HVAC technician inside the house when they arrived. Maybe next year I can work up the courage to take care of my own HVAC devices.
