Library renovation with a new mini split system

I’ve been the main librarian for the local school in our town for many years now. A lot of people are asking me when I’m going to retire, but I really love my job and I would hate to not be able to make a difference in a child’s life by not recommending books and showing the importance of them. For the past 20 years they’ve been saying that our library needs renovations. Our bookshelves are slightly falling apart and our heating and cooling system is absolutely awful. We have a mini split system because our library is in a large room that is separate from the hallways and other classrooms. The mini split system has to be at least 20 years old just like how old last renovation was done to the library. I’ve always been told, especially from my brother, who’s a local heating cooling technician, that any form of heating and cooling equipment should always be replaced every 15 to 20 years. I am not sure what HVAC company our contractors for the school are going to go with but I highly want to recommend my brother. When there are warmer temperatures outside, the library feels like it never cools down. This issue is mainly because of how old the mini-split system is. I really hope that the library gets all new duct work and a brand new mini split system. I’m really looking forward to this renovation being done to the library. I suppose every 20 years the library will have some sort of renovation done to it. To be honest I think I’m most excited for the new heating and cooling system! This will allow me and my students to feel comfortable all year long.
