Everyone knows my boys’ team is a lot better and they have a better coach
I was very disappointed with the boys’ basketball tournament. I wasn’t disappointed in my boys. They did the best they could. I was disappointed because the gym that the game was held in was very uncomfortably warm. I noticed it as soon as I took my seat. Some of the parents complained about it and we found out that the air conditioner had been having issues for a few weeks. I feel that the basketball game should have been postponed or moved to a different school if they knew that the air conditioner wasn’t working. They could have even held it at my boys’ school. That would have been a lot easier for me. However, the game went on as scheduled. Of course, the visiting team was super hot and uncomfortable because they are used to performing in an air-conditioned gym. I feel like this gave the home team and unfair advantage. They have been practicing in a non-air-conditioned gym for a few weeks now. That’s why the home team ended up winning 10 to 2. My boys were upset. We all feel like the home team cheated by not having air conditioning. If my boys team loses one more game, they won’t qualify for the finals. That’s a big problem. I know in my heart they wouldn’t have lost against this team if they had an air-conditioned gym to work in. Everyone knows my boys’ team is a lot better and they have a better coach. They were just hot, that’s all. Maybe we can get this game thrown out and they can still make the finals. I’ll make sure to talk to somebody about it.
