It took my landlord a year to replace a broken Heating & A/C unit

A few years ago, I lived in a beautiful 2-home office condo.

Though it was an older unit, it was remodeled with substituted kitchen appliances.

The equipment also had hardwood floors throughout the entire space. It was one of the reasons why I fell in appreciate with the apartment when I first saw it. Although the kitchen appliances were substituted, the washer & dryer, plus the Heating & A/C equipment & water furnace were a bit dated… However, they worked fine & did what I needed them to do, and unfortunately, after a year of residing in the apartment, I began to have troubles with the Heating & A/C unit. The first sign of an issue happened when I went away for a weekend. I came back dwelling & realized that the Heating & A/C equipment was not keeping the apartment cool. I contacted the landlord who sent an Heating & A/C specialist to fix the unit. However, within another 2 months, the same thing happened again. The equipment stopped cooling & needed to be fixed. This happened a few more times throughout the year & it was clear that the Heating & A/C equipment needed to be replaced. After I made an inquiry to the Heating & A/C specialist, he mentioned that the equipment was outdated & it had a leak. And there was nothing that he could do except to provide a temporary fix. It took an entire year for the landlord to replace the Heating & A/C unit. And although the broken Heating & A/C equipment was frustrating to say the least, I was happy that my landlord finally decided to replace the unit.
