When you change your air conditioner filters all of the time, that is only more money that is being spent because then you will have to buy new one pretty soon, so I did not change our filters that often. Often enough to make sure my cooling equipment didn’t overheat, not often enough where I felt it was a waste of money, I also got the okay air conditioner filter brands, rather than HEPA filters, since I think they should do just fine. Anyways, I ended up changing my mind when I took out the old dirty air filter. Usually the air filters are pretty gross, as expected, but this time the HVAC filter was really disgusting! As I was taking it out, literally balls of hair, lint and who knows what fell out! It was also slightly damp which only added to the disgust factor. I looked and I couldn’t even see through the filter it was covered in so much stuff. I decided after that that I will go ahead and beginning decreasing the air filters out a bit sooner, and not only is that terrible for the air conditioner unit, it’s just gross to have in the home and going through the air, then maybe eventually I will even update to the HEPA filters, although I am trying not to spend too much money on filters or the heating and air conditioning unit! That air filter was the last of the stock I had, so I had to visit the nearby HVAC store and buy a new stock. I went ahead and obtained a single HEPA air filter to supply it a go and see how it does, maybe it is worth the money.
