If you have watched the news of late, you know that a major part of the country is having a rough time of it weather wise. Thankfully our area has been spared the brunt of these systems. Across the country there are snow storms, torrential rain, and even tornados. This is unusual for this time of year but it is happening. Many of these regions have just gone through one to the worst hurricane seasons in recent history only to be subjected to this. My mom lives in one of these areas and I get daily calls to give me the latest rain totals. All of this makes me very thankful that my sister and I had a whole house generator installed at Mom’s place. She never has to worry anymore about power outages or the fact that her HVAC system won’t work. Neither of us live close enough to just go get her during these events so we wanted to make sure she was safe. The HVAC company that did the work was great. We were able to arrange for everything over the phone. They went to mom’s house, looked everything over, and installed the generator. They took the time to show her how everything worked and how to manually start it if it didn’t kick on automatically. Being far away and making the arrangements was a bit worrisome, but, the company was highly rated online and had excellent customer reviews. We now know that mom will be safe and warm no matter the weather and if the power is out, even for a day or so, she will still be that way.
