I had to drive a car for years with no working air conditioning

It’s like you need a steady and constant stream of a/c just to keep yourself from sweating in temperatures over 80 degrees

I make a lot of sacrifices when I’m barely making enough money to survive. Although I have a much better job right now, my last place of employment paid me so little that I could barely afford my bills along with the cost of food and energy. I can’t imagine how I would have dealt with the current economic problems back then when I barely had enough money to afford things at their old prices. Gasoline for instance is already up to $4.20 in my town, which is 30 cents higher than last week. Luckily, my commute to work takes only 15 minutes out of my day as I live about five miles away from the office. Unfortunately, I have to pass through a number of different stop lights and intersections that slow me down to some extent. Even though my commute is short, I feel spoiled by the cold air conditioner during my morning and afternoon trips. For years I had to drive a car with absolutely no air conditioning and it was miserable to say the least. We get fairly hot heat waves in the summer, making a car uncomfortably warm if you don’t have a cold air conditioner running at all times. If I turn off my a/c for just a second while I’m driving, I can feel the temperature inside the car rise almost immediately. It’s like you need a steady and constant stream of a/c just to keep yourself from sweating in temperatures over 80 degrees. Thankfully my current car has a phenomenal air conditioner inside and has no problem whatsoever at keeping me cool whenever I’m driving.
