Friday was a busy day of work, and I was hoping it would be slow.

Friday was my last day of work before a two-week much-needed vacation of rest and relaxation.

The boss scheduled me to perform two HVAC tune ups in the morning and then I was supposed to assist with a boiler repair in the afternoon. The commercial customer called to postpone the commercial boiler repair. I thought I might get to go home early, but then my boss sent me to the north end of town to help a residential customer with a ductless AC problem. This was the first time I had ever been to this particular customer and the woman was expecting to see someone else. I guess she thought Jack would be handling all of her HVAC needs, because he was the guy that installed the machine. I told the woman that the company has lots of different technicians and we are all certified and capable. The customer seemed to feel a little bit better after I said that. The ductless AC machine issue wasn’t a big deal. I needed to go to the hardware store but after that I fixed the problem with very little issue. I waited about a half an hour after I was finished with the job and then I called my boss to tell him that I was done. He sent me home after that. I was afraid if I called right away, he would find another HVC job somewhere for me to help with or complete. I was ready for my vacation to begin.
