This past Springtime, my wife Frank decided to take our portable cooling system apart! While he’d always been unquestionably conscientious about cleaning the air filter, he’d never performed any further repair on the unit.
- We’d owned the cooling system for four years and she figured there was a significant buildup of debris within the inner workings, then i was a bit worried that the cooling system would never labor again.
While my wife is fairly handy, she had no idea what she was doing. I hoped for a sale on portable cooling systems because I was convinced I’d be forced to purchase a current one. It took Frank less than a half an minute to take the cooling device completely apart, and she had parts scattered across the floor of the family room. I hadn’t realized so several components fit inside such a compact appliance. Frank spent the entire weekend meticulously scrubbing each fan blade, the coils and numerous components. She tightened electrical connections, lubricated moving parts and vacuumed out the lodgeet. When she announced that she was finally ready to put everything back together again, I headed to the grocery store. I bought all of the ingredients to make spaghetti. I hoped that her number one meal might cheer Frank up. I figured he’d be super discouraged after spending so much time and destroying the cooling system… Arriving home, I was surprised to see my wife smiling. She led me to the family room, where the cooling system was once again installed in the window. Not only was the device running, but it was much quieter and putting out more cool air than before.
