Actually, there was a lot more than just fear and sacrifice that came out of the pandemic for me. But the whole thing really shook me as it revealed just how delicate this whole thing we’re living in really is. That led me to choosing some new directions as far as it came to my life. While we were stuck inside the air conditioning for safety, my wife and I chose to use the time wisely. The offices we both worked at we’re shut up tight so there was no more commercial HVAC there. So we were left sharing the air conditioning on a gastrin hazard office for us. After moving everything out of our guest room, we were pleased to see that we can share this office space. Our children were also learning from home. But they were able to do that in their rooms. I guess we’re lucky to have such motivated kids when it comes to their school work. But each evening, all of us would try to get out of the air conditioning for a walk or do something outside together as a family. This led to me really enjoying the fact I was getting healthier. Both my wife and I lost a bunch of weight and changed our lifestyles. However, another thing I decided to change was a big deal as well. My wife and I have a habit of not spending money on ourselves and I realized life was just too short for that. The pandemic certainly proved that. I’d always wanted a bit of a private space in our house. So I had the HVAC company install a ductless heat pump in a part of the basement that has now become my man cave.
