When I got our heating and air conditioning certification, she refused to let me work for him, then I was hurt and disappointed since she didn’t even give me a reason.
I thought that if I got our certification, she would be the first one to offer me a job but I was wrong, but she told me to get some experience and then we could ask again… But by the time I had received our certification and gotten an apprenticeship with the heating and air conditioning professor, I forgot all about our anger with our uncle. I needed to figure out where I was going and what I wanted to do. I received a lot from the professor while working in her heating and air conditioning corporation and it was the best lesson I had ever received. When it came time to transfer from our apprenticeship, I didn’t think about what I wanted to do, however the owner of the heating and air conditioning corporation provided to keep me on full-time, but I was still thinking I should go back and talk to our uncle. She agreed I should talk to him, although she didn’t agree that I owed him our allegiance and should work for him just because she was our uncle, although she left the decision up to me. I didn’t think I wanted to work for our uncle, but I did stop and talk to him. I told him I appreciated where I was already working, and she understood. I even got an apology for not hiring me right away. She thought I needed someone with patience to show me the ropes and not a family member.
