Last year was the hottest Summer season on record. Nobody in our family had experienced quite as much heat as we had to sit through that summer. We all spent entire days sitting in front of the air conditioner trying to keep cool. Then, any opportunity every one of us had, all of us would pack the kids up to public places to visit their cooled facilities. Even the public pool was just not an option. Not only was it completely packed with swimmers and people trying to get cooled off themselves, but it was also just too hot for us to make the journey to the pool. It was an absolute danger to our health and I refused to subject myself and my children to such dangerous heat. So this year every one of us in the family wisely opted to prepare better for this hot season. Since our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system at the house wasn’t that old, we didn’t want to replace the entire system. So, we compromised. Before the hot weather was due to start, we ordered a complete and thorough examination of our whole Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. The air conditioner and all of the air ducts went through expansive evaluations. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C companies were quite busy this time of year in our town with families going through the exact same initiation and preparation phase as we wanted. We changed the air filters and got a few extras just in case. We got all the recommendations and tips from the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C serviceman that we could and felt good that we were prepared for the crazy summer heat to come this year.
