Yet, the more I saved for a downpayment, the more it cost to own a home.
So when the real estate market entirely started to explode last year, I decided to buy before I was priced out of the market. All those years of living inside apartments with so so heating and cooling was enough already. Plus, I was tired of writing rent checks. I wanted a mortgage so I could at least be building some equity. However, with what I had for a downpayment, I had to get a smaller new home that needed some work. I wasn’t afraid of the work at all as I knew people who could help me with a lot of the stuff that needed to be done. But when it came to the heating and cooling, I was not about to do anything but call the Heating and A/C professionals. The new home had an old central air conditioner device that just barely ran. I could not expect any quality heating and air from there. What’s worse is during the inspection by the Heating and A/C dealer, it was clear that the ductwork was shot as well. That changed to game giant time as far as money went. However, thanks to the Heating and A/C professionals, I was able to get the latest in residential Heating and A/C without having to replace the ductwork. The Heating and A/C company ripped out the old central air conditioner device and installed a ductless multi split system in my home. I’m amazed at the quality heating and air I get from the ductless heat pumps. They are more efficient, customizable and came in on my original budget number.
