I’ve caught myself wondering if having four kids was really such a great idea.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my children and I wouldn’t be enjoying my life the way I am without all of them.
Yet, there wasn’t a lot of time or peace for me to just sit quietly in the air conditioning of my home. It’s so funny how back before I had kids, sitting quietly in the air conditioning was so boring and pathetic in my mind. These days, just having things be quiet while I close my eyes and soak in the quality heating and air from the HVAC unit is like a gift. Most times, the house is loud and there is plenty of bickering among the children. One big point of contention was the thermostat setting. There are four children and there are four separate and highly different heating and cooling preferences. It got so bad that I was actually willing to stay late inside the zone controlled HVAC of the office. At least there, I had some quiet and some great HVAC cooling even if I was working extra. So I decided to bring that zone controlled HVAC home. The HVAC company was able to come out and tweak the HVAC equipment to provide zone controlled HVAC in my house. We now have 6 individual thermostats and there is far more peace in my house thanks to that zone controlled HVAC. And even better, I’m home for dinner just about every night these days. No more need to stay late for some quiet and air conditioning any longer.
