Animal House Needs Constant Air Filter Attention

Our entire family is one big animal loving unit.

We take in strays while we find them new homes.

We adopt the ones we can’t get new animal parents. Needless to say, there are critters everywhere. However, we are well set up to be this into animals. Our farm sits on over a hundred acres of pristine land. There is plenty of room for all the animals to do their own thing. We also have a big barn where most of the animals congregate. The inside of our home is like one constant clean up on aisle 9. With this many furry beings rolling around the house, we are always is some form of clean up duty. The fur generated by all these animals will blow your mind. It will also completely choke out the HVAC system if we’re not very careful. I have never been one to really pay all that much attention to the heating and cooling system in our home. I have always done the seasonal maintenance thing. Preventive maintenance has always made sense to me with just about any machine my family counts on. The thought of HVAC failure during the middle of winter or the height of summer is what keeps me calling the HVAC pros for regular maintenance. However, I started paying a lot more attention to one HVAC detail. The air filters have to be changed way more than the recommended monthly cycle. I just go and get air filters by the case now. I take a peak at the air filter about once a week. With this much fur flying, the air filter fills up fairly quickly.
